Example: Needing to add
Execute permission for a user on AMS-PROD-SH-SQL for the DB
"Auto_Assembly_Teststand"
- Open up SSMS and
connect to AMS-PROD-SH-SQL
- Expand Databases
-> Expand Auto_Assembly_Teststand -> Expand Security -> Expand Users
- Double-Click (or
right-click and select Properties) to view settings for this user
- Select
"Securables" from the left-hand column
- Leave "Specific
objects…" selected and click on "OK"
- Select Databases and
click "OK"
- Click on
"Browse…" and select the database we want to work on (in this case
Auto_Assembly_Teststand)
- Once you have the
Object Type and Object Names selected click "OK"
- Scroll down on the
lower portion until you find Execute (or any other permissions you need to add)
- Click on the box
under "Grant" and then click on "OK"
